Hawaii - Pearl Harbor

Happy Friday!  I have not yet gotten started on sharing our photos from Hawaii, so let's start with our tour of Pearl Harbor.  I somehow had not visited on my previous visits and so it was a perfect time to go with J.  It was a very moving experience and we were both so glad we were able to see the memorials and even the Mighty Mo!

Making Memories

For our first wedding anniversary James and I re-visited the awesome hotel we stayed at after the wedding (our pre-honeymoon!).  Boon is so refreshing.  Guerneville is so low-key.  Long weekends are a delight.  Our first year of marriage was fantastic.  We've had so much fun and we bid adieu to newlywed status in style.  

We started the weekend with a hike through the redwoods in the Armstrong Redwoods State Park.  The rest of the weekend we relaxed by the pool, rode bikes into town where we window shopped and ate a delicious (and organic) lunch, caught up on reading, and enjoyed each others' company.  

We were lucky enough to enjoy a delicious anniversary cake - a mini version of our wedding cake!  I still cannot believe our wedding was one year ago.  We are still feeling the love and happiness from that day!

Oh, and I'm (still) obsessed with my wedding sandals!

Poking Around Beverly Hills

Another stop on our Los Angeles trip was Beverly Hills.  We thought maybe we'd spot a celebrity or two but no such luck!  Instead we meandered through the streets and window-shopped.

The day was warm and calm - perfect LA weather!  My favorite parts of vacations are when we are simply wandering around without a clear destination and our afternoon in Beverly Hills was just that!

Sun Cravings

 It seems as if I've forgotten what blue skies look like.  Do you need a remedy as well?  So, what do you say?  Let's go to...

Palm Springs!

I'd give anything to be poolside at this gorgeous mid-century home!  I can almost feel the warmth of the sun...

  

I'm determined to stay here someday!  If only it could be this week!

Tiburon Weekend Hike

All I kept thinking was:


1)  I'm so out of shape.
2)  Will this hill ever end?
3)  I can't breathe but this view is to DIE for!


James and I did a hike in the Belvedere hills, just a few minutes from Tiburon.  The hill was steep but the views were such a reward.  On the way up we were able to see the entire bay with sweeping views of Belvedere, Tiburon, and Angel Island.

And then at the very top of the hill we said hello to the ever-gorgeous San Francisco, Golden Gate, and Pacific Ocean.  Loving the high-zoom lens!

Stunning.


The way back down was refreshing.  The breeze was rustling the leaves of the Eucalyptus trees (my weakness) and I felt so fresh!  (And I absolutely adore my new Anthropologie glasses!)
