Tuesday Tune (Christmas!)

I'm back from India and getting back into the swing of things.  I'm adjusting back to our chilly winter after spending over two weeks in "summer" and I'm getting our Christmas things out - starting with the music!  It's that time of year again!

Putumayo music is my very favorite - and this Christmas album is no exception.  Here are some of my favorites:

Tuesday Tune

It's no secret I love Putumayo's music. I have many of their compilations and I never tire of the songs! Any music that can transport me to faraway places is my favorite - it's inspiring and exciting to hear music from places I've been or places I'd someday love to see. This week I'd like to share a song from Acoustic Arabia.

Tuesday Tune

James and I are starting our honeymoon tomorrow (YEAH!) so here's a tune from Putumayo's African Groove for some international flaire.  The whole album is fantastic and so great as a backdrop for parties!

Putumayo's Reggae Around the World is one of my favorite collections.  Zeca Baleiro's Salao de Beleza is the best track on the album.  Check it out:

Tuesday Tunes

One thing I'll never get tired of:  MUSIC.  There is a song for every mood, every moment.  One of my favorite things to do is create soundtracks for my life - what an awesome job it would be to work on movie soundtrack compilations!  I first heard these songs back in college on the Putumayo radio channel on iTunes.  I was trying to concentrate on studying in the library and Putumayo saved the day!

I am excited to share with you all one of my most treasured albums (and I can honestly only say that about a handful of CDs I own!):

Putumayo Presents: Acoustic Africa

The second I hear the beginning notes of "Sore" I feel myself relaxing.  My other favorite tracks are Palea, Bana, and Tradicao.  This is a perfect cd to pop in when you want subtle, soft sounds to take you away to a faraway place.  I couldn't love it more!
