Birthday Girls

Happy 6th birthday to my girl, Piper (on the right)! And her sister (my mom's girl), Bella (on the left)! This is one of my favorite pictures of them when they were pups. Sweet, loving dogs!

Anyone who knows me knows that I (and James, too!) love dogs! And our little ones, Piper and Fox hold special places in our hearts. I hope to add a couple more to the family - they bring so much joy! Here are some snapshots of the pups.

By the way, I have missed my blog! Tax season is in full swing which means I'm almost living at the office these days and that leaves little time for much else... but I will be blogging still, it's just too much fun!

Dog Days

Is it already Monday? It seems the weekends are not long enough (were they ever?) and some times returning to the office can seem a little emotionally daunting! My best defense is to arm myself with positive reinforcements to help with the weekend-to-work transition. What better way than pictures of my sweet dogs? They never fail to lift my spirit and they always make me laugh!

These shots are actually way back from Father's Day - I caught some pretty funny moments!

(Soggy) Doggy Dash

This year James, my sister, and I participated in the Doggy Dash - a walk benefitting the SPCA. We brought Piper and Fox and got soaked by the rain! The event has since been renamed the "Soggy Dash".

Even though it rained we still dashed and it was so much fun to see all the adorable dogs of all different breeds and sizes!

We can't wait until next year's event!

Burgers, Gifts, and Sun

I had one of the best birthdays that I've had in a long time! It was a simple, relaxing afternoon at home full of playing with the dogs, enjoying the sunny weather in the backyard on our new chaise lounge, sipping a cocktail, and smelling the barbeque grill our basil and onion infused burgers.

We enjoyed burgers with feta on toasted sourdough buns and my parents brought over the world famous macaroni salad and a lemon cooler birthday cake. Everything was so delicious!

And the wonderful gifts! I had the best birthday weekend a girl could ask for and I love my friends and family so much - everyone deserves a weekend like this once in awhile!

The Birthday Girls

Happy 5th birthday to my sweet girlies! I can't believe they were ever this small! We have so much love for our pups... they're part of the family!

When we first brought them home they were both under 8lbs! They were such little rascals... and still are!

River Walk

The other weekend James and I took Piper on a walk along the river. The sun was shining and we all had so much fun being outside in the fresh air. James and I really enjoy spending time outside and we even got some exercise!
