Beautiful Rooms & Birthday

It's rare to find a seemingly random set of photos that so perfectly describe my personal style and therefore I had to repost and share with you all, my friends!  I can (and will) take direct inspiration from these images and update the rooms in my home - not joking, there are several pieces from these rooms that I own in variations.  Who is the designer?  And can we be best friends?

I keep returning to these rooms time and time again.  LOVE!

PS - And a very happy Birthday to my Dad!  We had a family dinner last night to celebrate and it felt great to relax - especially since it was sunny and in the 70's - beautiful!

Whole Life

Anyone who knows me knows that I (and James, too!) love dogs!  And our little ones, Piper and Fox hold special places in our hearts.  I hope to add a couple more to the family - they bring so much joy!  Here are some snapshots of the pups.

Happy Friday!

By the way, I have missed my blog!  Tax season is in full swing which means I'm almost living at the office these days and that leaves little time for much else... but I will be blogging still, it's just too much fun!

A Good One

I hope everyone has a wonderful celebration tonight!  We are staying home, just the two of us. And before it is too late I want to share some more photos from our Christmas weekend!

Be safe!  Cheers.

Holidays

I wish the holidays never had to end...  I love the time spent with family!  And at Christmas you can't help but feel like a kid again... if only for one morning!

This small package was my favorite this year - so cute and small!  And my sister was so surprised at what was inside!  What a wonderful Christmas.

A Goodbye

Over the weekend my family said our goodbyes to our forest cabin - something that has been in my life since I was born!  It is a funny thing to bid adieu to a material object but this was a place filled with so many of my childhood memories.  Every summer was spent at this place and I have the landscape memorized by heart.  We went up over the summer to finish cleaning and I snapped some photos of my favorite things.

There won't be another time where we will be inside the cabin walls enjoying a family dinner, or sitting by the fire, or building stick forts.  Maybe we can't travel back in time but we can enjoy our memories and know our lives were better because of this little cabin!

Have a great Monday!

Happy Birthday Husband

Friends, join me in wishing my husband a very happy birthday today!  Tonight we are going to see a local production of Frankenstein.  Let the celebrations begin!

(Pops in the Park) Tuesday Tune

Welcome, summer!  You came last week but I was out sick so today is a belated celebration. The other weekend James and I brought Fox to his first summer concert in the park.  It was so refreshing to be outside in the evening enjoying the warm air and blue skies (especially after all the drab rainy weather we had)!

Summer days are great but summer nights are even better!  We are definitely looking forward to the movies in the park series starting in August.  And so is Fox!

And here's who we listened to!  Most of their songs were upbeat and lively but I loved this rendition of House of the Rising Sun.
