Tuesday Tune (...and Game Night!)
This past weekend James and I hopped over to our friends' house and enjoyed a night of gourmet pizza, homemade lemon drops, games, music, Jack the cat, and plenty of laughter!
This song popped up on the playlist and I knew I recognized the artist, Habib Koite who has a song on one of my favorite cds (Putumayo's Acoustic Africa). Check it out:

What recipe do you use for lemon drops? I have a standard that I've been using for years, but I'm always curious what others are doing.

Awesome! My recipe is for Meyer lemons specifically. 3 parts vodka, 2 parts lemon juice, 1 part simple syrup. Shake over ice, rim the glass with extra-fine sugar. If you're using any other kind of lemon, I'd switch it to 2 parts simple syrup, 1 part lemon juice.

1 shot vodka
1 lemon
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/2 shot sweet and sour
now i'm craving one...!
